I remember the moment my first son, Julian, was born and my identity suddenly switched from me to mom. In literally a few seconds.

Aside from the surreal moment of watching a tiny human come out of my body, I realized I had a new identity and no f*cking idea how to live up to my new label. I wondered, why isn't anyone else talking about this?? Every book, blog and new mom conversation was focused on the baby. And while I understood that, I wanted and needed to talk about what I was going through.
